We would like to inform that JICA HQ  have allocated a budget for 
disbursement under the follow-up cooperation program. The fund is to aid 
running of soft type project related to ex-trainees activities in Malaysia. 
While at the same time it has the idea to relief part of the financial 
burden which may be faced by some of the Alumni in the overseas office 
implementing certain projects owing to low subsidy. The approved one time 
fund size to conduct small-scale project by JICA Overseas Office is 
US$50,000 for this fiscal year.

The fund is meant for carrying out activities by ex-trainees in areas 
specified below:

1. To conduct seminar/workshop
2. For the purpose of research/survey
3. For publishing/printing training phamplets, manual or audio visual 
teaching materials
4. For purchase of reference/technical books
5. For purchasing equipments, including spare parts
6. To renovate/refurbish facilities

Application is open to any individual ex-trainees of JICA sponsorship 
program and Alumni. Application submitted should enclose the following 
documents for our consideration and approval:

1. Outline of the organization applying for the fund or description of the 
ex-trainees activities background
2. Details of the request
3. Estimated costing
4. Objective of the project
5. Expected outcome/result
6. Others (information related to the project)

Anyone or the Alumni is interested to apply for the fund should submit 
complete documents as mentioned in the above to JICA 
Alumni  (mba@janm.gov.my)  not later than November 5th. 2002.
